#Stocks to Watch: Key Indian Corporate Updates and Banking Developments – October 4, 2026

🔹 HDFC Bank approved the appointment of Anup Bagchi as its new Managing Director and CEO for a three-year term following RBI approval, bringing an external candidate to lead India's largest private bank.

🔹 ICICI Prudential Life Insurance appointed Siddhartha Mishra as its next MD and CEO for a five-year term, succeeding Anup Bagchi.

🔹 Bajaj Finance board approved a preferential issue of warrants convertible into equity shares for an aggregate amount of up to ₹5,800 crore.

🔹 Infosys and Wipro ADRs jumped around 8% following strong fourth-quarter results and an upbeat fiscal 2027 revenue outlook from Accenture.

🔹 Rail Vikas Nigam Limited announced the mutual cancellation of an LOA from East Coast Railway for an IP-based video surveillance system without financial penalty.

🔹 SRF Ltd received a show cause notice from CGST authorities regarding an alleged disallowance of input tax credit aggregating to ₹266.32 crore for FY23 and FY24.

*HUDCO Ltd.:* India’s urban infrastructure financing cycle remains supportive, with rising government spending on housing, urban development and infrastructure creating sustained demand for long-term institutional financing. Against this backdrop, HUDCO reported a 36.9% YoY increase in loan disbursements to Rs. 35,371 crore during the first six months of FY27, while cumulative sanctions crossed Rs. 1,04,592 crore. Management has guided for full-year disbursements of Rs. 65,000 crore, alongside its roadmap to expand the loan book to Rs. 3 lakh crore by 2030. The company is also broadening its lending opportunities, with a five-year agreement with the Government of Bihar to finance up to Rs. 25,000 crore for industrial parks. In Q1FY27, revenue increased 26.6% YoY to Rs. 3,717 crore and operating profit rose 41.4% to Rs. 1,066 crore, while PAT stood at Rs. 851 crore. *Positive on HUDCO given strong disbursement growth, expanding financing opportunities, improving operating performance and increasing visibility on loan-book expansion.*

*Hyundai Motor India Ltd.:* Hyundai Motor India delivered its strongest monthly volume performance on record in September 2026, dispatching 77,916 vehicles across domestic and export markets, marking 10.8% YoY growth, while also opening bookings for the new Hyundai Bayon utility vehicle. Management had guided for 8–10% volume growth and an operating profit margin of 11–14% for FY27, with the company implementing a portfolio-wide price hike in September to offset elevated metal costs and protect unit realisations. Rural demand remained a key growth driver, increasing 23.2% YoY in Q1FY27 and taking rural contribution to a record 25.9% of domestic volumes. However, Q1FY27 operating margin declined to 9.3% from 13.3% YoY, while net profit fell 35.1% to Rs. 889 crore, impacted by a fire at a key parts supplier that disrupted production of 13,900 vehicles. *Positive on Hyundai Motor India given improving monthly volumes, strong rural traction, new product launches and pricing actions to protect realisations.*
